We are excited to introduce a brand new course in Relational Frame Theory (RFT) which covers all of the core concepts in a clear, easy-to-follow format for all entry levels.


What you will Learn


  • The basic behavioural science assumptions on which RFT is based.
  • RFT’s core early concepts, including derived relations, patterns of relational framing, and transfer and transformation of functions.
  • RFT’s account of analogy and metaphor.
  • The most recent developments in RFT, including its new concepts.
  • The HDML framework, including levels of relating, dimensions of relating, the ROE, and orienting functions and evoking functions.

Dr. Yvonne Barnes-Holmes has been a highly successful academic and clinician with a strong track record in teaching, training, publishing and presenting for the last 20 years. She has published over 150 scientific articles and book chapters and given over 500 presentations and workshops on Relational Frame Theory (RFT). She was an Associate Professor in Behaviour Analysis and a Senior Research Fellow at Ghent University before establishing Perspectives Ireland. She is a world leader in behavioural science and co-developed Process-based Behaviour Therapy (PBBT).

Across the 12 years of her career in both Ireland and Belgium, Dr. Ciara McEnteggart has built up a strong reputation in the field of Relational Frame Theory (RFT). She has published over 40 scientific articles and book chapters and given over 70 presentations and workshops internationally. She was a Senior Researcher at Ghent University before establishing Perspectives Ireland. She is a highly established as a behavioural scientist and co-developed Process-based Behaviour Therapy (PBBT).
